Tim McAllister (born October 22, 1962 in Portland, Oregon) is an American musician, music engineer, and producer. He found success in the mid 1980s with his hometown band Flock 14, which relocated to Cincinnati, OH to record an album with Graceland Records. The band broke up a year after the move.
In Cincinnati, McAllister met Linford Detweiler who worked with him on his next album, recorded under the name World Theatre. Shortly after, Linford founded Over the Rhine, and McAllister engineered and co-produced the first two albums for the band. McAllister also worked with the bands Beki Hemmingway and Yum Yum Children.
Most recently, McAllister is the leader of the blues band Papa Salty.
